Neurovation is far from over. Some of our team members will be continuing this journey into the next term. We’re excited to collaborate closely with Garry Sagert on pilot sessions for courses such as CSC 115, CSC 111, SENG 275, SENG 321, and SENG 371. Additionally, we will integrate API access into our website. If all goes well and students respond positively, we hope this tool will eventually be accessible through Brightspace.

Regarding the website, there are still some refinements we aim to make, such as continuing to implement feedback from students and ensuring a more mobile-friendly user experience. These improvements will help us create a more seamless and accessible website for the users.

However, the last two weeks have been dedicated to preparing for our final conference, where we showcased the hard work we have achieved over the last four months. From refining our script to incorporating feedback, we emphasized the challenges we faced, the lessons we learned, and the product we created. More importantly, our presentation highlighted what a multidisciplinary team of engineering students can accomplish: identifying a real-world problem and transforming it into a meaningful solution.
The most rewarding moments came from hearing how our website could impact others. Comments like, “I have ADHD, and this website would have helped me when I was a kid,” and, “I’m so excited to use your website,” reaffirmed why we started this project.

Throughout this term, our team has experienced many highs and lows. We’ve learned that things won’t always go as planned, but perseverance, teamwork, and mutual support are key. Having a strong team that believes in the project—and each other’s abilities—has been significant. Building connections with the right people also sped up our progress. Despite several pivots along the way, we emerged stronger. If given the chance to relive this experience, we wouldn’t change a thing.

We owe a lot to the incredible support from our mentors, ambassadors, and managers. Dr. Navneet Popli and Dr. Anthony Estey, thank you for supporting us and allowing us to advertise our website in your classrooms. Your help brought us valuable feedback from students. Ioana Visescu and Mehar U Nisa, your insights into styling, design choices, and website flow elevated our work significantly. Kezia Devathasan, your guidance and encouragement kept us motivated during challenging times. Feedback from the Nepal teams also provided crucial perspectives, and Daniela Damian, your unwavering advocacy for our project has been invaluable.

As we look forward to the next term, we’re filled with excitement and gratitude. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.

Signing off,
Neurovation
