As we entered Sprint 4 right after celebrating Dashain, one of Nepal’s major festivals, the team returned with a blend of post-holiday enthusiasm and a laid-back mindset. The festive spirit lingered, leading to a relaxed start. However, with only five days to work, we refocused quickly, setting clear, achievable objectives for this sprint to ensure we stayed on track with our project milestones.
This sprint’s primary goal was to tackle some technically demanding tasks while effectively communicating our progress to our community partner, Sundar Dhoka Sathi Sewa. Key technical objectives included capturing critical data points and translating them into a cohesive front-end visualization, alongside refining design consistency across our application. A major deliverable was the Patient Profile Page—a core feature for our community partner, as it manages comprehensive records of patients, including both medical and non-medical services. Given the limited sprint duration, we prioritized relevant and feasible tasks, balancing the need for quality work within a condensed timeline.
In addition to our technical tasks, the tight timeline required us to prepare a working demo for an upcoming playback session with our Canadian counterpart, adding a new layer of complexity. These added challenges brought an unexpected level of excitement to the sprint, as we pushed ourselves to deliver under pressure. Sharing our progress and reflecting on our work with the Canadian team introduced a dynamic social aspect, allowing us to exchange insights and experiences across borders. This collaboration not only enriched our project but also strengthened our sense of purpose and team spirit.
In this sprint, we encountered some significant challenges due to the festive season, which shortened our sprint days and led to a task overload. Despite these hurdles, our team demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination to keep progressing. We faced the challenges head-on and did not let setbacks deter us.
For the next sprint, our focus will be on implementing analytics and transitioning to an Azure DevOps setup. We also plan to gather valuable feedback from our community partner by showcasing our accomplishments so far.
