Livelihood Tracking Software

Multipurpose Community Development Service forms and works with self help groups across Nepal. These groups works towards betterment of individual’s lives, families and societies through various financial and trade activities. Our project will focus around building a software for analyzing the impact of their work, and monitor the transformation of individuals. We are building a system where our community partner and the program manager of their respective self help group can manage groups, individuals, update their financial accounts, update and create their activity such that a trend analysis can be developed every year.

COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Multipurpose Community Development Service (MCDS) is a non-governmental organization established in 1994, registered under the Government of Nepal, and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council. MCDS has reached over more than 20 districts through integrated programs focused on health, education, livelihood, local capacity development, environmental protection, and disaster response and recovery. With a mission to uplift poor and marginalized communities, MCDS emphasizes sustainable, community-owned development.

To ensure meaningful participation and long-term impact, MCDS has adopted the Integrated Group Action Process (GAP) approach in its community development work. This is implemented through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), enabling communities to identify their own needs, take collective action, and build resilience from within.

Since its inception, MCDS has expanded its reach through strategic partnerships and community-driven initiatives. Guided by the vision of “transformed communities enjoying life in its fullness,”
