What We Have Done

Our campaign creation feature is officially live and fully functional on MeaningfulWork! After weeks of designing, developing, and testing, our feature is now up and running on MeaningfulWork’s website. Two non-profits have already created campaigns using our Meaningful AI Assistant. It has been a very cool journey to be involved in this entire process–from brainstorming ideas to launching a live feature in just three months.

Meanwhile, we have been locking in to the development work of our Meaningful Engagement feature. The frontend and backend work for our first three donor outreach methods (Campaign Feed, Social Media Captions, and Email Blast) is completely done, and we are putting the finishing touches on the One-to-One outreach feature.

As we have been building, we have also had the chance to showcase our Meaningful Engagement feature to non-profits, and the feedback has been very positive. Non-profit employees seem genuinely excited to start using it, which has been very cool to see. While walking one non-profit through the campaign creation process, they asked “Now how do I tell our donor base about this campaign”, without even knowing about our engagement feature, so it is definitely a feature that is needed.

We also took part in a Biomedical Showcase pitch competition. This was a great opportunity to talk about our project and determine how we can frame the product to market it properly. This experience not only strengthened our pitch, but also deepened our understanding of how to connect with potential users from diverse fields.

Challenges We Have Faced

Since launching our Campaign Creation feature on the website, we have been receiving user feedback and bug reports. This feedback has helped us make small but impactful improvements to the feature’s usability while also addressing any bugs that popped up along the way.

These last two weeks have been an intense sprint of development as we work hard to wrap up our Meaningful Engagement feature.. We are pushing to complete it as soon as possible to leave time for quality assurance and user testing before the end of the term. Each member of the team has been making large contributions to our software, building out new features every single day.

Goals for the Next Sprint

As the end of the term approaches, we are aiming to wrap up our Meaningful Engagement feature by early next week. This gives us plenty of time to gather user feedback on our product, allowing us to finalize our product.

We are also continuing to onboard as many non-profits as possible over the last few weeks. December is a busy month for non-profits, as many run Giving Tuesday and holiday campaigns. This is the perfect time for these organizations to use our platform, and we are excited to help them launch their campaigns with MeanigfulWork.
